February: My Scrappy House Collage

In this lesson students will use scrapbook paper to work with color and pattern in order to create a cohesive composition for a torn paper collage.

March: Clay Dinosaurs

In this lesson, students will work three dimensionally with clay to create dinosaurs. Once the clay is dry, student will paint on glaze.

Students will use strips of paper to simulate Kente Weaving. The focus for this project is color and pattern.

Students will learn facial proportion and spacing by drawing a basic face, then get creative by using pastels to make half the face “go wild”.
