Tiger Stars To Share Their Talents Thanks to a Parent Idea

by Tami Michelson, Talent Show Chairperson

Three years ago I went to a friend’s school talent show and thought,”What a fantastic idea.”  They had a huge turn out and it seemed all the kids had a great time. Both my daughters have been dancing since they were three and I thought what a great way for them to showcase their talents. I knew of many students at La Mariposa who take dance, sing, play an instrument and have other great talents.  I approached the PTA with my idea and they got the ball rolling.

With each year we get more and more talented students trying out to be part of this fun event.  I love organizing it and have formed a great team of moms that are so creative and help this night come to life.

This year we have a great variety of talents such as dancing, singing, speeches, karate stunts, and playing different kinds of  instruments.  We’re also including our student leadership to help MC and our new chorus group to perform. It’s going to be a fabulous night!

If you have an idea for something you’d like to see at La Mariposa, we’d love to hear about it. You can drop us an email at LaMariposaPTA@gmail.com or just leave a comment at the end of this article and we’ll catch up with you.
