The Reflections Program provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme, while increasing community awareness on the importance of the arts in education.

The Camarillo Council of PTA’s held its annual Reflections Showcase last Tuesday.  La Mariposa sent twenty-seven entries for consideration.  We are please to announce that La Mariposa has fourteen entries that will be moving on for 12th District consideration in December–congrats to the following students:

Reflections is a signature PTA program that celebrates the arts.  Student artists in grades kindergarten through high school compete in four divisions based on grade.  There are six categories students can enter in: visual arts, photography, literature, music composition, dance choreography, and film production.

Special thanks to La Mariposa Reflections Chair, Cassie Blauert, and her committee for all their hard work for putting on the school showcase and preparing the pieces for Camarillo Council judging.
