Okay, not really.
It was all part of the Kindergarten only Reptile Family Assembly yesterday. At La Mariposa, instead of going on off campus field trips, our kindergarten students participate in on-campus interactive adventures. Earlier in the year there was Transportation Day and on Friday kinder students will be treated to an end of year assembly by Dan Crow, children’s musician.
On Tuesday, June 5, our kinder kids got to touch and learn about reptiles. From the slimy frog that hopped away to lizards like the bearded dragon and red tegu (right), students were up close and personal with an array of reptilian friends. Just take a look at this boa constrictor in the image below. It took six kids plus one very heroic principal to hold him!

This and all field trips are made possible by your donations to La Mariposa’s Annual Jog-a-thon. See the other ways the La Mariposa PTA uses your contributions to enhance our children’s educational experience.
